Platt Band Member Meeting

Platt Band Members:

I hope you are in the midst of a restful and relaxing summer vacation!

As you may know, Mr. Guilmette has taken a new position at Platt (in the Math Department) and will not be returning this fall as band director. A transition to a new band director is always a very challenging situation for current members and one that brings a great deal of questions and concerns.

Mr. Corsetti and I certainly know the great current band members, your dedication to the program, your many successes and your passion for the program you have called home. We want to ensure that you have a voice and and an opportunity to share your thoughts, concerns, suggestions and aspirations as we work to find a new Platt band director.

Mr. Corsetti and I will hold a meeting on Zoom on Tuesday, June 29th at 6:00pm for all current Platt band members. Please join us so we can hear your thoughts and answer your questions.

In addition to topics you may bring to the table, we are particularly interested in:

What goals you have for the year to come?
What are the important aspects of the band that you want a new director to be aware of?
What qualities do you think are most important in a new director?
Are there changes you would like to see with a new director? Areas of continued growth?
